Summary
ServiceNow IRM consultant with several years’ experience in building and configuring IRM/GRC solutions. Able to independently translate user stories into working configurations and (where necessary) customisations whilst maintaining upgradeability. Has proven experience with IRM data models/processes, Flow Designer/workflows, security (roles/ACLs), reporting and test/release processes. Acts as a sparring partner for functional management, business consultants and the solution architect.
Key tasks/responsibilities
- Independently configuring and extending IRM applications, such as:
- Policy & Compliance Management
- (Advanced) Risk Management
- Audit Management
- Issues Management/Indicators
- Independently configuring and extending TPRM applications
- Independently configuring and extending Security Operations applications, such as:
- Unified Security Exposure Management
- Security Incident Management
- Configuration Compliance
- Threat Intelligence
- Designing and implementing end-to-end IRM, TPRM and SecOps processes.
- Building/optimising flows (Flow Designer), business rules, script includes (where necessary) and preparing for integration (inbound/outbound concepts, MID server).
- Setting up roles, ACLs and data access in accordance with governance and privacy/security requirements.
- Setting up/improving dashboards, reports and workspaces for first/second-line support.
- Reviewing changes (update sets), ensuring quality (code/config reviews) and minimising technical debt.
- Actively contributing to the test strategy: test cases, defect analysis, UAT support, go-live support/hypercare.
- Documentation and handover to operations (functional & technical), including knowledge articles/work instructions.
Essential knowledge & skills
- 6–8 years’ experience in ServiceNow development/configuration (including demonstrable experience with IRM/GRC).
- ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist IRM (CIS-IRM).
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).
- In-depth knowledge of: IRM data model & processes, Flow Designer/workflows, Playbooks, UI Builder, notifications, dashboarding, reporting.
- Good knowledge of security within ServiceNow (roles, ACLs, data separation where relevant).
- JavaScript at ServiceNow level.
- Upgradeability mindset: OOTB-first, making informed choices regarding customisation.
- Stakeholder communication: able to refine requirements and explain solutions.
- Experience with CSDM/CMDB dependencies (entities, ownership, data quality) and implementation challenges relating to ‘foundational data’.
- Experience with IRM workspaces/dashboards and KPI/KRI/KCI configuration.
- Basic knowledge of relevant compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIS2, DORA, BIO2) in relation to control frameworks and evidence.
Education
- HBO level of working and thinking (or demonstrable equivalent).
Languages
- Dutch and English (professional level).
